Spend a few minutes driving east on the 202 Freeway, and you'll leave Phoenix for the bright lights of Tempe. Here, people know how to work AND play hard!
As far as work goes, Tempe is where Cold Stone Creamery first got its start. The city is also home to major hubs for US Airways, Insight Enterprises, Circle K, and Go Daddy.
When it comes to playing, Tempe does things up big. If you're a sports fan, you've at least seen Tempe on TV, since it's the home to Arizona State University and college football's Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. It's also home to the Los Angeles Angels during Spring Training.
OK, big-time sports are nice, but what can you expect to find when you browse through the homes for sale in Tempe?
- Lots of variety
Whether you're looking for cool condos, trendy townhouses, or stylish single-family houses, you'll find it all in Tempe! Plenty of families call Tempe home, but because of all the job opportunities, there are people here in every age range. And, because Tempe is also home to Arizona State University, there are plenty of young adults and professionals who are just starting out. So, your new home will come with a variety of neighbors!
- Affordable prices
Tempe's home prices have been going up since the recession ended, but they're much lower than the prices in other eastern portions of the Phoenix metro -- like Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. So, if you're home-shopping in Tempe on a budget, you won't have to feel like you're "settling" for something that's sub-par.
